The COVID crisis is a disaster for the world, but to be fair, the furniture- and deco industry has not suffered by it, quit the contrary is what we hear from almost all of our clients. People being refrained to home working, took the time to also redecorate their home, using the budget they would have otherwise spen on tourism or dinners…
The lead to an increased demand, mainly the deco factories can’t follow the pace of orders. What made it worse is the subsequent logistic crisis, with seafreight prices going through the roof.
While many of our clients used to travel once our twice on a sourcing trip, or to visit the furniture exhibitions, that has been impossible since early 2020, and probably will remain so till well in 2022.
